Kathy Schlegel has been a full-time, professional REALTOR® since 1990 specializing in the sales and marketing of real estate properties in Marin County, CA. Respected and admired among her peers, she was chosen as Marin REALTOR® of the Year, Marin Women's Council of REALTORS Entrepreneur of the Year and was elected as President of the Marin Association of REALTOR's®.
A fully licensed broker, Kathy offers her expertise in the area of residential, commercial, investment and income properties for buyers and sellers. She has also earned the SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) designation and enjoys counseling with seniors regarding their long term needs.

Prior to her career as a successful Realtor, Kathy worked as an Investment Banker and Commercial Lender, as well as initiating alternative energy loan guaranty programs for the US Department of Energy and was Manager, Project Finance for US Synthetic Fuels Corporation. As such, Kathy brings a high level of professionalism to her business and offers her clients a wide range of skills to facilitate their transactions.

Honors and Memberships

As a successful professional REALTOR®, Kathy has earned numerous awards and honors in recognition for her leadership and marketing excellence. She was chosen as REALTOR® of the Year in 2008, was the 2006 President of the Marin County Association of REALTORS®. She chaired the Education and Finance Committees of MAR for several years and was the 2010 Chair of Region 4 (Marin, Sonoma, Solano, Napa, Lake and Coastal Mendocino Counties) of the California Assoc. of REALTORS®.

In addition, Kathy is a Director of the California Association of REALTORS® and a member of the National Association of REALTORS®. All of these associations uphold a strict code of ethics and ensure that their members are up to date on the latest marketing techniques and legislation affecting real estate.

She is involved in her community as a member of the Board of Directors of the Pacheco Valle Masters Association and a graduate of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute. In addition, Kathy is Senior Warden of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in San Rafael and is a member of the Episcopal Realtors Association of the Diocese of California.

Personal Information

Originally from New York State, Kathy received her Bachelor's of Science in International Relations from Ithaca College, and was a finance major in graduate studies at New York University.

When she's not involved in serving her clients, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering for several non-profit organizations.
