ARE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY READY FOR AN EMERGENCY?  If not, and if you want to be prepared, this critical training information might be of interest.
 
1. GET READY MARIN: In April, 40 Pacheco Valle residents "Got Ready" for an emergency by taking the "GET READY" training offered throughout Marin but specifically by the City of Novato through our Emergency Services Program. We highly recommend this 2-HOUR TRAINING to "LEARN HOW TO PREPARE YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY FOR THE NEXT DISASTER."  Click here on Pacheco Valle Disaster Preparedness if you are interested in participating either as an individual, a family or as a neighborhood please. Also you can check the "Get Ready" website www.getreadymarin.org for any upcoming trainings that have already been scheduled.
 
2. FIRE EVACUATION DRILL. This same group of Pacheco Valle residents also heard from the Novato Fire Protection District about specific fire hazards in Pacheco Valle.   As a follow up, the Fire Protection District will come to Pacheco Valle this fall to hold a FIRE EVACUATION DRILL.  This is a public service that they have done for other high risk neighborhoods in Novato. Stay tuned for an announcement of date and time.
 
3. H.E.A.R.T. = Homeowner's Emergency Action Response Team: For those interested in a comprehensive preparedness training that can be put to use in your neighborhood in the event of an emergency this program is for you!  So far about 10 Pacheco Valle residents are HEART graduates. CPR, Disaster First Aid and Urban Wild land Interface are of few of the training modules covered. another HEART training will be offered this fall and sign up information is available on this HEART link.
